Welcome

At Horizon Community College students in Years 7, 8, and 9 have one hour of Citizenship each week; alongside this, students also explore Citizenship and PSHE issues in assemblies and their form period. In Years 10 and 11 the Citizenship National Curriculum and PSHE topics are covered through RE lessons, form period and assemblies.

Each year group cover at least one PSHE (Personal, Social and Health Education) scheme of learning where they learn about healthy lifestyles, danger and risk, healthy relationships and responsible internet use. Throughout the year these will also be reinforced through assemblies and visiting organisations. The links in this section of our website are examples where further information for students and their parents/carers can be found.
