Excitement Builds for 2013 Prom

As the Year 11 exam period draws to a close over the next week or so, we have the chance to celebrate a year of hard work and great achievement with our Year 11 prom at the Holiday Inn on Tuesday 25 June.

With this in mind the Year 11 team would like to pass on some information about the prom to ensure everyone has a fantastic evening.

On Thursday 6th June, students from Horizon Community College took part in the MOVED by ART exhibition at the Barnsley Civic.

The event was themed around POP ART and the 50s-70s era from flower power to rock and roll and punk! BTEC dance students performed their rendition of GREASE LIGHTNING and KS3 students performed an AUSTIN POWERS themed routine.

Bouncers

We are very sorry to announce that due to unforeseen family circumstances our performances of Bouncers on the 13th, 14th and 15th June have had to be cancelled.

A great deal of work and effort had gone in to the preparation for these performances and it is hoped that all will not be lost. We are therefore aiming to reschedule ‘Bouncers’ for some time in early Autumn (see the website for further details).

All bookings made through the online booking system will be automatically refunded.
Aurin Choir Visit - 26th June – 1st July

We are incredibly privileged to be hosting the world famous Aurin Choir from the Kodaly School in Hungary.

We are pleased to report that the College has now been able to secure a contract with a local uniform supplier, with the obvious benefits that this will bring.
